Download Blocked

Antivirus software or Firewall has blocked the download

Depending on the settings for your Firewall it is possible that the download could be treated as a threat and blocked.

There are 2 solutions:

Solution 1 - Re-configure your Firewall.

Normally your software program will advise you of the danger level and ask you whether you want to continue, if this is the case just continue. These tutorials are 100% safe and cannot harm your computer in any way.

If the Firewall does not present a choice to you go to the settings (Usually in the same control panel as your antivirus software):

1. Temporaily disable the Firewall.
2. Download the Tutorial file.
3. Reset Firewall (This is sometomes done automatically after a few minutes anyway.

Solution 2 - Download the Tutorial with no installer.

If solution 1 fails then you can try to download a new Tutorial without the Installer. (This is a .zip file which may be considered less of a threat then the .exe file of the download with installer). The installer is simply an instruction which places the Tutorial in your Programs folder and places shortcuts on the desktop and start menu.

1. Click on the 'NI File' link in the email you received with your download information.
2. Click 'Save' and select a place on your computer to save the file where you can easily find it, such as My Documents.
3. When the download is complete open the file. It will unpack and display the 3 files it contains.
4. Click on the file with a rectagular icon (Application file) usually the top one.
5. Click on 'Extract all' and select a destination for the contents. (Normally the default is the same folder).
6. The new contents are now displayed in their new folder (same name as the file you downloaded).
7. Click on the Application file (the icon is usually a blue shield - usually the top file).
8. If you get a 'Security warning' uncheck the box: 'Always ask before opening this file' and then click 'Run'.
9. Your Tutorial will now open. Click on 'Activate the product online'.
10. Fill in the form (copy and paste the serial key from the email with the download information).

You only have to do this the first time. The tutorial will always open now from its location in step 7.
